The 2006 NPC Kentucky State Bodybuilding and Figure Championships was held on October 21 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville under the promotion of L. Brent Jones.

Forty-year-old Brian Smith of Louisville dominated the heavyweight class by taking all first place votes from the judging panel for the unanimous class win.

Brian then moved into the final comparisons and the pose down of the class winners and once again took all first place votes for the overall title.

Leigh Ann Bowen, 32, of Frankfort was making her second contest appearance and was unopposed in the heavyweight class.

Leigh Ann was the only entry in the women's open division and was automatically declared the open women's champion.

The Figure Division was divided into four height classes.

Megan McBride, 23, of Richmond took a two-round total of 20 points to take the Class C win.

Megan then moved into the final comparisons of the class winners and took the majority of the first place votes from the judges for the overall win.
