The 2007 NPC Palmetto Cup Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships, a national qualifier, was presented by Tami Tucker on May 26 at the District Auditorium in Columbia, SC.

Joe Lyons, 29, of North Charleston, SC took the lightheavyweight class win by taking all first place votes from the judges for the unanimous decision.

Joe then entered into the comparisons and pose down of the class winners and was the choice of the judges for the overall title.

Twenty-five-year old Stacey Cox of Florence, SC was competing in bodybuilding for the first time and was unopposed in the middleweight class.

Stacey then moved into the final comparisons and pose down of the class winners and was the pick of the judges for the overall win.

Twenty-eight-year-old first time Fitness competitor Brooke Kiser of Charleston, SC was unopposed in the division.

The Figure Division was divided into three height classes with a total of 16 athletes competing.

Marie Ann Newman, 35, of Simpsonville, SC scored all first place votes in both rounds of the competition to take the medium class win by a unanimous decision.

Marie then went into the final comparisons of the class winners and was the choice of the judges for the overall title.
